Meatless Pasta Salad with Shredded cheese with optional vegetables

I experimented making a meatless pasta salad with vegetables only. I did this trick since hours ago. I’ll show you how you can make it yourself.

Start off with boiling pasta with butter, water, and almond milk.

Take any of your favorite spiral pasta, and place it in a large pot. Be sure to wash your pot before you start inserting your pasta in it. Be sure to clean it with soap, and hot water. Alternatively; you can use a dishwasher to clean your pot.

To safely have your pot clean for your meatless pasta salad preparation, follow these steps:

  1. If your pot was used to cook meats… be sure to wash out all surfaces of your pot. You may need to use vinegar to remove all of the build-up from your pot.
  2. Use any dish detergent to clean it up via long cleaning time. You may need to soak your pot in hot water.
  3. Rinse your pot with cold water,–until your pot is free of suds. This is necessary to prevent your mixture from being contaminated.
  4. Dry your pot, and confirm your pot is clean, and ready to use for boiling your pasta.

Once your pot is cleaned, fill it with your desired pasta you want to use. You can use macaroni pasta, spiral pasta, or any kind of noodles you want to use.

Fill it with water, but not too much. Try to fill it at the level of your pasta. You might need to experiment how many cups you were going to use.

Take 2 cubes of butter, and add it as you warm up your pot via an electric range. Start off at a lowest temperature. This is necessary to prevent accidents from happening.

Add some almond milk via any amount. Be sure to stir as you go. This is useful if you want to add some flavor.

Add some canned corn, and mix it in. Any can of corn will do.

Boil your mixture, but don’t let it boil over! If it does, turn the heat off immediately.

Strain the liquid, and place it in your refrigerator.

Use a strainer to strain out the liquid, after you turned the heat off. use your sink as a safety area to prevent steaming liquid from causing injuries. A strainer bowl is needed to strain out the liquid.

Caution

Always turn your electric range off to prevent fire from happening,–especially if your pot boils over. Never let your pot boiler unattended on an electric or gas range.

Transfer your mixture to your salad bowl, or storage bowl.

Add some salad dressing of choice, and place your finished mixture in your refrigerator. Don’t forget to add shredded cheese of choice to your mixture. Stir it until the dressing is absorbed into your mixture.

Let it chill for some hours. The more hours your salad soaks up the remaining liquid, the flavor will be absorbed into your pasta… this term is known as marinating.

Enjoy your meatless salad.

Serve your salad to your family, and friends.

Optional Vegetables to add

You can add, carrots, lettuce, onions, kelp, celery, beans, peas, spinach, olives, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.

This recipe is useful if you want to leave meat off your plate at school, or office. Unlike other salads that include meat… you don’t need to buy an existing salad at your local store.!

This is useful to introduce vegetarian food to your children who wanted to leave meat off their plates. Whether if you are a parent who is trying to raise children as vegetarians. Or you were trying to phase out eating meat altogether.

Tips when making this meal

You can add optional seasonings to your pasta when boiling in water to simulate meat for your salad.

You can also use raw vegetables to speed up making salad for your lunch/dinner.
